All Vaya plans get extra data in lead up to new iPhone

Vaya is the latest in an increasing long line of telcos to give its plans a refresh this month, following announcements from Telstra, Kogan Mobile, Lebara, and Aldi Mobile. It's almost like there's a big new phone right around the corner or something.

Vaya has increased data allowances across the board, while killing it's previous mid-tier plan and introducing a new $44 per month 13GB plan as its crown jewel. The new plans are as follows:

If you're happy to pay upfront, you're able to get each plan as a six-month package. This gets you a slight discount on your plan, and saves you $12 across the six-month period.

It's no coincidence that Vaya is refreshing its plans right before the launch of the new iPhone, with Amaysim (Vaya's parent company) Commercial Director Maik Retzlaff warning "dazzled" iPhone fans against locking themselves into a 24-month contract "with data inclusions that may not meet their needs in the future".

"Buying an unlocked phone outright or on finance and then selecting a SIM-only provider like Amaysim or Vaya who offer full flexibility when it comes to plans, means you can change your plan whenever you need to and take advantage of better deals on offer," said Retzlaf. "Whatever you decide, do the maths and pick what's right for you".

Vaya is powered by the Optus 4G network.
