Kogan's version of Prime Day is on now

Amazon Prime Day is in full swing, and Australian budget online retailer Kogan is shooting its shot at the enterprise with its Kogan First Flash Sale.

The promotion is live from 12:00am June 21, through to 11:59pm June 22, with new deals dropping each day at 12:00am, 1:00pm, and 7:00pm. Similar to Prime Day, however, you’ll need to be a member of Kogan First in order to qualify for these deals.

Kogan First is ostensibly the retailer's version of Amazon Prime. For $49 per year, you’ll get free shipping on thousands of products sold through Kogan, or if shipping is already free you’ll receive an upgrade to express shipping at no extra cost. Kogan First members are also eligible for special discounts year-round, and exclusive deals similar to what we’re seeing for this flash sale.

On top of that, you’ll also receive credit to your account if you’re signed up with eligible Kogan services such as prepaid mobile, internet, energy, or insurance.

New members can get a 14-day free trial of Kogan First.

You’ll also be able to nab a bargain on Kogan Mobile long expiry SIM deals, but you don't need a Kogan First membership for this one. You can either keep both vouchers for yourself and have your phone bill paid for two years for as little as $265, or split the cost with a friend and pay just $132.50 each for a full year.

Kogan Mobile allows you to either take your whole GB allowance at once, or split it up to be divided out on a month to month basis. For the 250GB plan, that comes to around 21GB per month for $22, or for 500GB it’s 41GB for $29 per month. If you ration that out over a two-year span, you’re paying just $11 or $14.50 each month for a generous amount of data.
