If you're after the 4G-enabled version of Microsoft's smallest and cheapest two-in-one, Telstra is now exclusively offering the Surface Go on a 24-month contract. And the plans are actually pretty good. Especially at the high-end.
The 4G Surface Go retails for $999 outright, but if you sign up for Telstra's $65 per month 40GB plan, you'll pay $1,560 over the course of two years. After you factor in the cost of hardware, you're effectively paying $23 per month for 40GB of data.
Is it however worth noting you'll still need to pick up the Surface Pen and Type Cover separately. They'll set you back an extra $139.95 each.
Key specifications for the Surface Go include a 10-inch 3:2 display (running at 1800 x 1200), 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor, a single USB Type-C port, and a battery said to last up to 9 hours.
It will ship with Windows 10 with S mode enabled, which means it only has access to the Edge browser and apps available in the Microsoft Store by default. You can however switch to the full version of Windows 10 at no extra charge.
