Current customers of embattled MVNO Yatango are receiving notifications from a new MVNO Yomojo that it has acquired the former and that service will continue through the new provider.
Following a short email from Yatango stating only that its customers have been bought, subscribers are now also receiving emails from Yomojo welcoming them to the ‘Yomojo family’ and promising ‘loads of benefits’ in the neat future.
A quick glance at the Yomojo website shows very little difference from Yatango in the way the plans are constructed and the monthly prices. In fact, if we were to guess we’d say that this is the old Yatango website, with a new colour scheme and a change of logo.
This excitement follows Yatango entering voluntary administration a month ago and is good news for Yatango customers. No only will you not need to change your provider, but the plans look pretty much identical. There are the same Build Your Plan options, as well as plans with unlimited calls and SMS. Budget conscious customers can also choose to pay as you go.
What should Yatango customers do next?
If you are currently using a Yatango SIM card in your phone, your choices are pretty straightforward: you can stay or you can leave. All Yatango plans were no-contract monthly plans, with the option to switch to a different provider at any time.
Now, with Yomojo, your options remain the same. You can leave your plan the same, you can change to a different Yomojo plan, or you can switch telcos altogether. Yomojo runs on the Optus 4G network, and there are lots of options if you are looking for the same coverage. As you can see below.
Also, don’t forget that switching to a new providers is super easy. In most cases you can pick up a new SIM card on your lunch break and be using a new provider before you get on the bus to head home in the evening.
