How good is felix mobile's deal?

Telcos typically offer discounts between three to six months when you first sign up for a plan. It's pretty rare to see a full year-long discount from a provider.

felix's 5G mobile plans utilise the Vodafone network and all come with unlimited data. felix's 25GB and 50GB plans have speeds capped to 150Mbps. Once you use up all of your monthly data allowance, the speeds are throttled to 1.5Mbps - that's enough speed for streaming music, standard definition videos and basic browsing.

Plus, felix offers easy set-up with eSIM and it's one of our top recommendations for its international roaming options. While it has fewer destinations than the major telcos it covers you for travels in Europe and across the ditch to New Zealand, for example.

Several of TPG's mobile plans are cheaper than felix's 25GB plan thanks to generous discounts. Even after the six-month discount offer ends, TPG's 25GB plan works out to be $15 cheaper over 12 months than the felix plan. However, it's worth noting while you're on the Vodafone network with either provider, TPG's plan doesn't have 5G or international roaming packs.
