An Optus Sport subscription will be more expensive for Optus internet and mobile plan customers from August 1.
The Optus Sport subscription will cost customers subscribed through SubHub $9.99 per month, a 40% increase from $6.99 per month. The price for non-Optus customers will stay at the standard $24.99 per month price as will the Optus Sport add-on available to prepaid customers (which costs $12 per month).
Optus internet and postpaid mobile plan customers are eligible for the discounted Optus Sport through SubHub. You can compare eligible plans here:
Subscribing to Optus Sport while being an Optus customer is still generally the cheapest way to get it, especially when you factor in discounts through SubHub. SubHub lets you save up to 10% when you bundle three or more subscriptions. Optus Sport doesn't get a further discount, but it does count as an eligible service when it comes to getting a discount on other services.
This is the first price increase for Optus Sport since 2022 when Optus first started charging its mobile and internet customers for the subscription.
Optus Sport has exclusive rights to the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship and the Copa America USA 2024, which are both currently underway.
