You can get a free Pixel 8a when you buy a Pixel 9 Pro

If you pick up a Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL on an Optus mobile plan, you'll get a free Pixel 8a. You read that correctly: Optus will give you a free phone with your new phone.

The free Pixel 8a is available with all Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL configurations - you don't need to pick a specific storage size. The free Pixel 8a is a 128GB variant, however, and only comes in black. The model in question retails for $849.

If you're already an Optus customer, you can also buy the Pixel 9 Pro or Pixel 9 Pro XL outright through the telco. Doing so also scores you the bonus Pixel 8a.

After you've purchased your new Pixel, you'll need to redeem the Pixel 8a before December 15. Optus says approval and delivery may take between four and six weeks.
