OPPO today announced local pricing and availability for the Reno 13 series, the latest addition to its "semi-premium" phone range. The Reno 13 series includes three devices: a top-end Reno 13 Pro, a standard Reno 13, and a cheaper Reno 13 F.
While the price points range from $599 to $1,299, all three phones borrow a few features from OPPO's latest flagship, the Find X8 Pro. These include larger than the normal batteries and IP69 water resistance.
The Reno 13 Pro and Reno 13 F both have a 5,800mAh battery, while the standard Reno 13 has a 5,600mAh cell. We've typically seen battery capacity max out at 5,000mAh on Android phones, but OPPO started using larger batteries with the Find X8 Pro.
When we tested the Find X8 Pro at the end of last year, we found the battery was the best we'd tested on any Android flagship phone, comfortably achieving at least eight hours of screen time per charge. The Find X8 Pro does have a slightly larger 5,910mAh battery, however.
Similarly, all three Reno 13 devices are rated IP68 and IP69 for water resistance. Not only can they survive being submerged under water, they also have protection against high-pressure water jets. This is the highest level of protection against water.
Most similarities between the phones end there, with all three having unique hardware specifications. The Reno 13 Pro and standard Reno 13 have more shared features than the entry-level Reno 13 F, however.
