Belkin's new wireless charger can track you (not creepy)

Belkin's big CES announcement is a wireless charger that can do more than just boost your battery life.

Built around a 360-degree rotating dock with a MagSafe motorised arm, the Belkin Stand Pro isn't just looking to replace your charger. It wants to sit in for your webcam. Since Belkin has adopted Apple's DockKit framework, all you need to do is tap your iPhone with the stand to pair the two using NFC. Then, once your phone is attached to the dock, it'll seamlessly keep you in frame.

Video conferencing isn't the only use-case that Belkin sees here. If you have an iPhone, chances are good that it's the best camera you own and the Belkin Stand Pro can allow you to get more out of it by acting as a smart tripod when it comes to creating video content. There's even a battery inside, that allows you to take the Stand Pro with you and use it for up to five hours at a time.

On top of all that, the Belkin Stand Pro also supports 15W wireless fast charging. According to Belkin, this one is rolling out "soon" at an RRP of $299.95.

It's far from the only product that the accessory maker had to show off at this year's CES.

To start with, the BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Stand is a leaner but more versatile take on the multi-device charging formula. It's made from 75% recycled materials, incorporates an adjustable hinge and comes built to deliver faster wireless charging via the Qi 2 standard. It'll also offer fast charging for more recent Apple Watch models.

Expect this one to land in Australian retail from March 2024 at an RRP of $229.95.

Then, there's the BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Power Bank. Available in three sizes (5000mAh, 8000mAh and 10,000mAh), this pocket-friendly power bank is made from recycled materials, MagSafe compatible and Qi 2 compliant for 15W wireless charging.

Belkin expects this one to hit Australia sometime in the second quarter of the year, with local prices starting at $99 for the 5000mAh model.

Last but not least, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 4-Port USB-C GaN Charger 200W features four USB-C ports and intelligent power sharing that allows for more efficient power allocation of up to 140W off a single port.

Belkin said that it expects to launch this one in early 2024 at an Australian price of $189.95.
