Ever since the advent of mobile phones, screens have been at risk of scratches, cracks or even full-blown shattering. And now that the screen is the most important part of a phone, protection is a must. Cue the entry of screen protectors. When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S25 range—the base Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra—we’ve got you covered on the screen-protector front.
Note that while we’ve focused on the Galaxy S25 Ultra options specifically, all of the screen protectors on this page have corresponding right-fit alternatives for the base Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus models.
Best privacy screen protector: Zagg Fusion Privacy Anti-Glare

RRP AU$59.99
Basic screen protection evolved with an anti-glare and pro-privacy matte finish.
- Privacy protection and anti-glare perks from a screen protector
- It also protects your screen from scratches and shattering
- Extra waiting time and extra costs for US distributor
The main job of any screen protector is to defend the all-important display from scratches and bumps. So, you can safely expect that from the Zagg Fusion Privacy Anti-Glare, but it also does more thanks to the screen protector’s matte finish.
At first glance, that matte finish means less glare when you’re in direct light. But for privacy, that same finish makes it more difficult for anyone beside you to see what you’re looking at in portrait view.
This Zagg screen protector is also treated with an anti-microbial finish that preserves quality. We also like that the screen protector is bundled with a tray to better facilitate one-and-done application.
Best tempered glass screen protector: Cygnett Glass Shield Protector

RRP AU$29.95
Despite its cheap RRP, this screen protector has some premium inclusions.
- Protects your S25 Ultra against scratches and drops
- Handily, includes a kit for straightforward protector application
- Protector is visible on your screen once applied
Tempered glass is a popular material for screen protectors, and it’s easy to see why. The material protects your display while feeling like the glass beneath and also preserving screen clarity and touchscreen sensitivity. That’s what you can expect from the Cygnett Glass Shield Protector without having to spend upwards of double the price of competing alternatives.
And we appreciate that it comes with a screen protector application kit. If necessary, clean the screen with the included wipe and dry with the microfibre cloth. Then place the application tray over the S25 Ultra, pull the tab, and finish off by removing any bubbles with the included felt-tipped card.
Best hyrdogel screen protector: RepairMart Hydrogel Screen Protector

RRP AU$20.99
A rubber-feeling screen protector that enhances touchscreen sensitivity.
- Reportedly self-heals minor screen scratches in 24 hours
- Screen protection without degradation to touchscreen sensitivity
- Two-pack, premium build options cost more
At its cheapest, you can get a single RepairMart Hydrogel Screen Protector for around $20. But you can also pay more for a two-pack option so you’ve got a spare, or slightly more again for a higher-grade hydrogel membrane.
Hydrogel screen protectors are typically pricier than tempered glass ones, but they also offer a clearer view of the display they’re protecting. They also reportedly have a longer lifespan. More impressively, hydrogel screen protectors dissolve fingerprints and smudges, and they can even lower the visibility of scratches on the protector.
With this RepairMart screen protector, expect all of the above across full-screen protection. This screen protector also comes with a cleaning kit and a tool for removing air bubbles after application.
Best glass screen protector: Belkin ScreenForce InvisiGlass

RRP AU$39.95
A screen protector that’s stronger, and looks and feels like the display beneath.
- Claims to be considerably stronger than tempered glass protectors
- Included tray for straightforward bubble-free alignment
- Murky details on the “limited lifetime warranty”
Screen protectors present a paradox. On one hand, they protect your all-important display. On the other, some can inhibit screen clarity or touchscreen sensitivity. Cue the entry of the Belkin ScreenForce InvisiGlass, which is built to make it feel like your screen protector isn’t even there.
But that doesn’t mean the all-important protection isn’t there. The aluminosilicate glass material is stronger than the more prevalent tempered glass alternatives. And it also protects against smudges and fingerprints. Plus, the protector is finished with an antimicrobial coating to ward off discolouration.
To help make application easier, this Belkin screen protector also comes with an alignment tray.
Best premium screen protector: Otterbox Premium Glass

RRP AU$54.95
A pricier screen protector made from aluminosilicate for extra protection.
- You can get it cheaper if you pair it with an Otterbox case
- Should protect the screen from drops just under one metre
- There are cheaper aluminosilicate protectors out there
A lot of the screen protectors on our shortlist explicitly mention scratch and bump protection, as you’d expect. But this Otterbox Premium Glass screen protector was the only one with shatter resistance. It’s rated up to three feet (about one metre), which is roughly waist or sitting height.
The aluminosilicate material also keeps the screen protector ultra-thin, while defending the screen and resisting fingerprints. Aluminosilicate also helps preserve the display quality of your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and maintain touchscreen sensitivity.
This Otterbox screen protector comes with an installation kit, too, to help make application easier. We also like that it’s made with 60% recycled material.
You can get by without a screen protector but even if, like me, you manage to avoid major cracks, you’ll likely still have to deal with scuffs and minor scratches. The best protection for any mobile phone is a combination of case and screen protector. A case protects against damage to the phone body (including cameras) and partial protection to the screen with a raised front edge. Combo a case with a screen protector for even better peace of mind and proper display security.
What to look for in a Samsung Galaxy S25 screen protector
It’s not just marketing spin that separates screen protectors. Here’s what you should take into account when shopping for a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra screen protector:
- Material. Screen protectors are made of different materials, and not all are created equal. Tempered glass ones are typically cheaper, but aluminosilicate is tougher, and hydrogel can even diminish scratches. Hydrogel screen protectors reportedly feel different to more glass-like ones. Where possible, try before you buy, even if it means asking to touch a mate’s applied screen protector.
- Functionality. You should expect all screen protectors to offer defence against scratches and bumps. But others may offer shatter resistance. There are also matte-finished screen protectors that minimise glare and offer enhanced privacy, reducing visibility for side-on portrait viewing.
- Application. Putting on a screen protector can be the reverse logic of preserving stamps. But it doesn’t have to be an exercise in frustration. Keep an eye out for screen protectors that include an easy-application kit. Some are better than others. But a basic version should have a holder and something to smooth out potential bubbles. Better ones have frames that clip over the screen to perfectly align the protector.
- Price. Generally speaking, you shouldn’t expect to spend as much on a screen protector as you do on a case. Still, those multi-pack screen protectors on Amazon for under $20 aren’t necessarily the best quality. Paying for a backup protector isn’t a bad idea, but you’re better off investing in one that’s built to last. Check for screen protectors that include a warranty for an idea of longevity.
Samsung Galaxy S25 screen protector FAQs
How do you remove a glass screen protector?
Use a plastic card or other removal tool to gently peel off the corner of a screen protector without applying excess force. If the protector leaves adhesive behind, clean the screen with isopropyl alcohol (on a cloth) and gently wipe.
How do you get bubbles out of a screen protector?
The best way to remove bubbles from a screen protector is proper application. Choose a screen protector with easy application: at least a tray, but ideally a front shell that makes perfect application a possibility. Once applied, use a soft-tipped flat tool to smooth out any bubbles.
Do Samsung Galaxy S25 phones need a screen protector?
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra display is made of Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, which is scratch-resistant and anti-reflective. So, you could get away without a screen protector. But scratch resistance doesn’t equate to crack protection or shatter-proofing. Buy an S25 Ultra screen protector for extra protection.
