Amazon's hugely popular Kindle Fire HD tablet is finally available in Australia, and at $229, it is priced to fly off the shelves. The price above buys the 7-inch model of the Fire HD, with a larger 8.9-inch unit also available for $299, all exclusively through Dick Smith for now.
News has hit the tubes that Amazon will soon be releasing a successor to its popular Kindle Fire tablet. The Kindle Fire 2, as it is currently being called, will sport a few upgrades over its predecessor but perhaps most notably will sport a larger 8.9 inch display.
