Bundling multiple bills not only makes paying for services more convenient, but can sometimes be cheaper if you know where to look for the best bundle deals.
A mobile and internet bundle is when you combine your mobile phone and internet plans with the same provider for a discounted price or extra perks. In some cases, you might even be able to bundle your phone, internet, electricity and gas or even nab internet and TV bundling.
But savings aren't guaranteed. Rather than relying on phone and internet bundles, you might find you save more by finding separate phone and internet plans from cheaper providers.
We've listed some of Australia's internet and mobile bundle options below, but you can also check out our guides on how to find cheap mobile phone plans and cheap internet plans to see if any non-bundling providers might best suit your needs.
Cheap NBN and mobile bundles
These days, an NBN and mobile bundle can be hard to come by. At time of writing, Telstra and Optus don't bundle NBN and mobile plans together. The same goes for most other providers on the market.
We've put together a list of some of the bigger telcos with NBN internet and mobile phone bundles.
Provider | NBN and mobile bundle summary |
---|---|
Vodafone | If you have an existing Vodafone postpaid mobile plan, you can save $5 to $10 per month, depending on the NBN plan. |
TPG | If you have a TPG NBN plan, bundling an eligible mobile plan will get you $5 per month off your bill. |
iiNet | If you have an iiNet NBN plan, bundling an eligible mobile plan will get you $5 per month off your bill. |
Aussie Broadband | Aussie Broadband has three NBN and mobile bundles, offering different amounts depending on which you choose. |
Superloop | Save between $5 and $15 per month on your NBN, based on how many mobile plans you bundle. |
Exetel | Save between $5 and $15 per month on your NBN, based on how many mobile plans you bundle. |
iPrimus | Bundle mobile and internet to save $5 off your monthly mobile bill. |
And to give you a quick idea of pricing before we get into the details, here's a quick snapshot of NBN 50 plans from these internet providers that that can be part of an NBN and mobile bundle:
Vodafone NBN and mobile bundles
Bundling with Vodafone is simple. If you have an existing Vodafone postpaid mobile plan, you can save $5 to $10 per month, depending on the Vodafone NBN plan.
Vodafone mobile plans have 'infinite' – after you exceed your monthly cap, speeds are limited to a maximum of 2Mbps, rather than charging you for overage. While somewhat austere, this is actually faster than other providers who cap speeds in this way, such as the 1.5Mbps of Optus and Telstra.
Here are Vodafone's eligible postpaid plans suitable for internet and mobile bundling:
All NBN plans with Vodafone offer unlimited data and reasonable typical evening speeds:
TPG NBN and mobile bundles
If you have a TPG NBN plan, bundling an eligible SIM-only mobile plan will get you $5 per month off your bill. This is available to new and existing customers.
The eligible SIM-only mobile plans are:
- Medium 50GB plan
- Large 100GB plan
But TPG also gives new customers an introductory 50% discount for the first six months on its mobile plans. The discounts don't stack, so the $5 bundling saving only kicks in after the introductory period. TPG's mobile plans are powered by the Vodafone network.

Aussie Broadband NBN and mobile bundles
Aussie Broadband gives you some choices, allowing you to sign up to one of three NBN and mobile bundles, each of which has its different pros, cons and pricing.
All these bundles offer unlimited data for their NBN plans, but different amounts for the SIM-only mobile plans. The two more expensive internet and mobile bundles come with two SIM cards that share a data allowance between them.
The Starter bundle is an NBN 100/20 plan with a 4G SIM and 40GB of data per month. The bundle is $120, which works out to a $10 saving.
The Value bundle is also an NBN 100/20 plan, but with two 4G SIMs and a total of 80GB data shared between them. At $150 per month, it's a $15 saving per month over unbundled prices.
The Speed bundle is an NBN 250 plan with two 5G SIMs and a total of 440GB mobile data shared between them. At $234 per month, it's a $25 saving.
NBN Plan | SIM cards | Mobile data | Price per month |

Slash My Bill lets you bundle your internet with a mobile or home phone plan. Like Superloop, it operates on a 'the more you bundle, the more you save' basis. Bundle savings start at $5 for one additional service, up to $15 per month for five additional services.

iPrimus NBN and mobile bundles
iPrimus discounts $5 from your mobile bill when you bundle your NBN and mobile plans.
Here are iPrimus' NBN plans:
Data SIM and mobile plan bundles
You can sometimes bundle a mobile broadband plan with your mobile plan. These mobile phone and internet bundles provide an additional, data-only SIM card for use with a tablet, WiFi hotspot modem, or other data-only device with a SIM slot.
Adding a data SIM to your mobile plan doesn't necessarily give you a discount, but it can be a cheaper way of getting mobile data access for SIM-enabled devices that don't also need calls and text.
Telstra data SIM and mobile bundles
Telstra customers on selected Upfront mobile plans can bundle a 10GB mobile data SIM for an extra $10 per month.
This data SIM is only available through this particular Telstra mobile phone and internet bundle. It's cheaper and has a smaller allowance than Telstra's stand-alone Upfront mobile data plans. Given the smaller plan isn't available by itself, it's not so much a discount as it is a cheaper option for those who only want a data SIM or 10GB of additional mobile data, rather than paying for a larger, stand-alone data SIM.
Telstra's mobile internet data sharing is important to note here. While this bundled data SIM only has 10GB, you can share data between up to 10 eligible mobile or data-only plans on your account. So instead of a 10GB SIM, think of it as adding 10GB to your monthly mobile data pool, while also getting an extra data SIM for use in a separate device.
To get this Telstra mobile phone and internet bundle, you need Telstra’s Upfront Essential ($72 per month) or Premium ($95 per month) mobile plan. Add $10 per month for the 10GB data Bundle plan.
Here are Telstra's mobile plans that can be bundled with a data SIM:
Vodafone mobile bundles: mix and match
Vodafone lets you bundle up to five postpaid mobile services – including mobile broadband and tablet plans – on the same account for a discount on your total bill. You can have any mix of mobile plans (including if you're paying off a phone on contract) and mobile broadband (data SIM) plans.
Each service after the first gets you a 5% discount, maxing out at a total discount of 20% on this mobile internet and mobile plan bundle.

Data SIM and mobile bundles with data sharing
Grabbing an internet and mobile bundle can sometimes just be about making life easier or more efficient, rather than a direct discount. Some providers let you bundle multiple mobile and data plans into a single bill, and allow data sharing between them. These are typically called "shared" or "family" mobile plans.
Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone let you draw from a central Data Pool, Data Banking, or Data Rollover when eligible plans are connected to the same account. This means you can opt for a lower data allowance on one plan and a high one on the other to save money.
Others, like Belong, let you gift data to other mobile users with the same provider. In the case of a family, you sign both parents up to whatever plan suits them, and give the kids something a little more affordable. If the kids run out of data, you can gift some to them.

Home phone and internet bundles
Despite being less popular than they used to be, home phone and internet bundles are still around. But they look a bit different than they used to.
Traditional landlines are a thing of the past in most of Australia, and in places where they do still operate, they simply don’t work with a fixed-line NBN connection. So, if you want a home phone and internet bundle, you’ll need to sign up to a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone line instead.

Why should you get an internet and mobile bundle?
It's true (but not guaranteed) you might save more if you avoid bundling and sign up to cheaper plans from different providers for your mobile and internet needs. But finding a mobile and internet bundle is about more than just discounts. We've outline a few benefits of grabbing mobile phone and internet bundle below.
Affordability
Saving cash on your monthly bills can be a great motivator to grab a mobile and internet bundle. While there aren’t a huge number of discounts available, every little bit reduces your bills further. That said, you might still end up paying less by going with two separate providers, depending on the combination of plans you need.
Convenience
If you want to reduce your life admin and get a better overview of your expenses, having one bill for multiple services can simplify things.
Data sharing options
Some internet and mobile bundles have a centralised data pool, which is a great way to cut down on data wastage. Paying for multiple high-data plans can mean you’re not going through what you’re paying for, but data sharing allows you to make the most of your monthly allowance. It also means you don't have to think as hard about exactly how much data each individual family member or device needs.
